Lava Zirconia : Lava Zirconia
Lava by 3m Espe has been the most translucent, independently studied, and well known of the many zirconia systems on the market. Lava offers over 1440mPa in strength, which makes it the strongest of the zirconia options.Lava can be milled in up to six-unit bridges and conventionally cemented. Lava can be beautifully layered like PFM's or have pressed-porcelain over the core for extra overlay strength in the posterior region. Also, unlike the Cerec in-lab, Cercon, Zeno, and most other popular milling systems on the market today, Lava zirconia blanks CAN NOT BE SUBSITUTED for "black market" zirconia blanks. Be aware of not just what milling system your dental lab is telling you they are using, BUT ALSO what brand zirconia block are they using in the milling system. There are MAJOR differences in how zirconia brands are processed, milled, and sintered. Let us show you!
